Magdalena Petersson McIntyre is associate professor in Ethnology and researcher at the Center for Consumer Science at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Her research concerns gender and consumption, design and fashion. She has, together with Lizette Gradén edited a Nordic book on fashion, Modets metamorfoser (forthcoming) and two issues of the Swedish Journal, Kulturella perspektiv, together with Magnus Mörck, one concerning Fashion, gender and body and the other Gender and design. She has also written chapters in academic books about gender and technology, shopping, design, fashion and taste. Currently she is working on a research project on design with a progressive approach to gender and another project that deals with gender, packaging and luxury.
