Helen Potts, MTH, PhD, is director of the Age Equality Unit at the Australian Human Rights Commission. She holds academic qualifications in human rights, public health, and law. She has extensive field experience in Australia, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Cambodia, Uganda, Kenya, the UK, and the United States. Her areas of research include the relationship between the right to health and public health, accountability and the right to health, participation and the right to health, and the impact of culture and ethnicity on access to health services.
