Agneta Marell is professor in Marketing at the Department of Business Administration, Umeå School of Business (USBE), Umeå University. From 2004–2007 she was the Dean of USBE. Her early research focus on replacement decisions of durable goods, whereas current research interest is on the relationship between behavior, attitudes and values and on consumer decision making, including travel mode choice and food choice. Her academic work has appeared in books, book chapters and in scientifi c journals, and she serves as a reviewer for several academic journals. She serves on public and private scientifi c committees evaluating research proposals. Professor Agneta Marell works closely with local and national industry on marketing research projects, aiming to increase managers’ knowledge of consumers and to include consumers’ attitudes and behaviour as a base for strategic decisions.
