Roberta Michnick Golinkoff, Ph.D., Unidel H. Rodney Sharp Professor, School of Education, Willard Hall, University of Delaware, Newark, Delaware 19716Dr. Golinkoff has won numerous awards for her work, including the Urie Bronfenbrenner lifetime achievement award from the American Psychological Association; the James McKeen Cattell Fellow Award for lifetime achievement in applied psychological research from the Association for Psychological Science; and the Francis Alison Award, the highest honor at her university. Her research, supported by federal grants, has resulted in more than 150 articles and 12 books. She is an expert on language development, playful learning, and children’s early spatial knowledge and is passionate about the dissemination of psychological science. She cofounded the Ultimate Block Party movement to celebrate the science behind play and speaks all over the world.
