Angela Hoffman is a Senior Lecturer and docent in the Department of English at Uppsala University. Her research focuses on language variation, language shift, and heritage languages. She received her doctoral degree in English from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. While many of her courses at Uppsala University relate to the connections between language and society, she teaches components of academic writing in nearly all of her classes. Angela Hoffman was awarded one of the Pedagogical Prizes by Uppsala University in 2011 and Excellent Lärare in 2014.
