Lance Gable

Lance Gable, JD, MPH, is an assistant professor of law at Wayne State University Law School, where he teaches public health law, bioethics and the law, torts, and other health law subjects. He is also a scholar with the Centers for Law and the Public’s Health: A Collaborative at Georgetown and Johns Hopkins Universities, which is a Collaborating Center of WHO and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Lance specialises in public health law, ethics, and policy; bioterrorism and emergency preparedness; mental health; international human rights; genetics and genomics; research ethics; and information privacy. He has helped develop course materials for the WHO Diploma in International Human Rights and Mental Health and has worked as a human rights consultant for the Pan American Health Organization. Lance received a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a master’s in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
