Karen Christensen

Karen Christensen is associate professor at the Department of Sociology of the University of Bergen, Norway, with a second position at the Centre for Care Research at the University College of Bergen. Christensen has done research and published in areas such as modernization of social care services, care policy practices and care and disability. She has been a co-editor of the Norwegian Journal of Sociology, co-edited several books (the last one is: “Kvinners arbeid”/Women’s work, 2009), co-authored a book into services for mentally disabled people in Norway (2006) and published in journals such as Scandinavian Journal of Disability Research and Disability & Society.
